  • Doddabetta Peak excursion- Located at an altitude of 2,637 meters, Doddabetta Peak is the highest peak in Nilgiris. The hiking trail is 10 km long and will take one through the rugged paths and grassy hills that are covered with ferns and alpine trees. The peak offers the bird eye view of the surroundings and on the peak there is a telescope house offering the panoramic views of Ooty, forests of Bandipur National Park and grassy plains of Mysore and Coimbatore on a clear sky day.
  • Emerald Lake- It is one of the most beautiful lakes around Ooty, located at a distance of about 20 km from it. It is an ideal picnic spot for locals and tourists and is a photographer’s paradise for taking pictures of the surrounding landscapes. You can indulge in boating amidst mountains of Nilgiri here and soak yourself in the beautiful surroundings. There are many opportunities for leisure activities near it such as bird watching, fishing, boating, nature walks and yoga.
  • Pykara Lake excursion- Located at a distance of around 24 km from the city center of Ooty in the lush green Shola forest, Pykara lake originates from Pykara River emerging from Mukurthi Peak. Nestled amidst lush green valleys and deep forest it is an ideal picnic spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. You can indulge yourself in boating at the Pykara lake or hike up to Pykara Falls from here.
  • Sim’s park excursion- The Sim’s Park is nestled in Coonoor in the Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu is a home to several exotic species of flora and fauna. Spread over an area of 30 acres, the Sim’s park has beautiful landscaped gardens & walkways lined up with beautiful flowers spread across and a variety of flower plants collected from different parts of the country. It is a perfect place to explore around Ooty.
