Day 0: Delhi to Bir overnight journey

  • Start your Bir weekend trip by boarding an evening volvo to Bir from Delhi.
  • Overnight journey to Bir.

 Day 1: Bir arrival | Sightseeing

  • Reach Bir early in the morning and transfer to goSTOPS Bir on your own.
  • Check-in to the hostel and freshen up.
  • Later, get ready to explore the town of Bir.
  • You can go for a Monastery walk and explore the rich heritage culture of Bir (on your own). Visit Palpung Sherabling Monastery and get awestruck by the Dhauladhar ranges in the background of this Monastery which enhances the beauty of this place.
  • Pay your homage to the oldest monastery in Bir, Chokling Monastery- Founded back in 1960. Explore the monastery with huge stupas, temples, sculptures and Monk quarters.

 Day 2: Explore Bir

Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast, either go for the hike to Rajgundha or transfer to Billing for the adventurous Paragliding session.
Paragliding session is 25-30 mins long. Enjoy the mesmerizing views of Dhauladhar ranges and the slopes of Kangra valley while soaring through the clear skies of Bir Billing with the cool breezes brushing against your face.
Back to Bir by evening, you are free to stroll the local streets of Bir and go on cafe hopping.

  • Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast, check out from the hostel.
  • Get ready to explore the beautiful town on your own or opt for one of the add on experiences.
  • After spending some time exploring the Paragliding capital of India, board the volvo bus to Delhi in the evening.
  • Reach Delhi the next morning, with a bag full of memories.

 Add on experiences:-

  • Rajgundha hike:- Rajgundha Valley is a small and beautiful valley situated beyond Barot in the lap of Dhauladhars. Transfer from goSTOPS Bir to Billing. Trek of around 14 km one side will start from Billing as you will experience the breathtakingly beautiful views of the Dhauladhar range. From Rajgundha Peak, enjoy the mesmerizing views of snow capped mountains. After spending some time here, trek down to Billing.
  • Bangoru waterfall hike:- Transfer to Gunehar village from goSTOPS Bir in a vehicle. Hike to the hidden Bongoru waterfall starts from Gunehar Village. The hiking trail will take you through the lush green and quaint village of Gunehar. Spend some time at the waterfall with the cool breezes brushing against your face.

By Air: The nearest airport to Kashmiri Gate is Indira Gandhi International Airport, located at a distance of 20 km. It takes around 45 mins to reach there from the airport. There is a metro line also available from Airport to New Delhi railway station.

By Train: The nearest railway station to Kashmiri Gate is Old Delhi railway station located at a distance of around 2 km. New Delhi railway station, which connects all the major cities by train route is also 4 km from Kashmiri Gate.

By Road: Kashmiri Gate is well connected by road and metro line. Maharana Pratap ISBT is the nearest bus terminal for Kashmiri Gate. Kashmiri Gate metro station is on Delhi metro red, yellow, and violet line which is accessible from all the major places in the city.
