Just a 3-4 hours drive from Dehradun, Nag Tibba is located at an altitude of 9,910 ft and is also the highest summit in the Nag Tibba range of Garhwal region. The trek is considered one the best treks in Uttarakhand, especially for beginners.

Nag Tibba trekking starts from Pantwari village located at a distance of 100 km from Dehradun. The trail takes you through thick forests and multiple ridges with the views of breathtaking mountain layers. This experience is famous for its sunsets because of the trail directions. The campsite offers spellbinding views of sunset and the stargazing at night makes Nag Tibba camping experience worth everything. Also known as the Serpent Peak, the summit offers the views of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Kala Nag, and Gangotri from the top, making it perfect to experience the thrill in just a weekend.

Day 1: Dehradun/Mussoorie to Pantwari and Nag Tibba Base

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Dehradun/Mussoorie to Pantwari and Nag Tibba Base

  • Get picked up for Nag Tibba trekking from Rishikesh/Dehradun/Mussoorie early in the morning.
  • Reach Pantwari in the afternoon. 
  • Have a lunch.
  • Start your trek at around 2 pm to Nag Tibba base camp.
  • Cover a distance of 4 km and reach the campsite by evening.
  • Enjoy evening snacks while you enjoy a breathtaking sunset.
  • Have dinner at night under a starlit sky.
  • Overnight stay in camps on double/triple sharing.


Day 2: Base to Nag Tibba Top and back to Pantwari; return to Dehradun/Mussoorie

  • Get up early and have breakfast. 
  • Start your journey to the summit which is around 5 km from the campsite.
  • Reach the summit and enjoy the views of multiple snow peaks of Himalayas.
  • Get down to the campsite and have lunch.
  • Start your descent to Pantwari and head to Dehradun.
  • Reach Dehradun by night and end your experience with unique memories.

How to reach?

By Air: Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun that is 20 km away from the city. Visitors can take a direct flight to Dehradun from Mumbai or Delhi or connecting flights from anywhere in India. Local vehicles can be availed from outside the airport to reach Dehradun by road from that will take around 40-45 mins to reach the city depending upon the traffic.

By Train: Dehradun Junction Railway Station is well-connected to all the major cities. The Dehradun Railway Station is located 1-2 km away from the city centre and should take you only ten minutes, depending on traffic. Visitors can easily find frequent trains from Delhi to Dehradun.

By Road: Dehradun is well connected by roads to all major cities and towns like Delhi, Haridwar, and Rishikesh. It's situated at a 6 hours drive from Delhi.

- Transportation - The charges of transportation to and from Pantwari are to be borne and shared between the trekkers. 

- In case if your trek remains incomplete or uninitiated because of "force majeure" or by personal choice after you arrive at the starting point, you will not be able to get a refund, reschedule or replace any services that remain unutilized by you. 

- Any additional cost incurred due to changes in Government Guidelines related to travel/trek/COVID-19 will be borne by the trekkers. 

- Loading and unloading of personnel luggage. 

- Anything which is not mentioned in inclusions.

- Any kind of emergency evacuation charges

Advisory

  1. Pickup and Drop: We can arrange pickup and drop for you at additional cost from Dehradun/Mussoorie at 6 AM. A minimum of two people is required to avail this service.
  2. Rent gear: You can reduce the hassle of buying gear like trek pants, jackets, shoes and rent them for the trek at an additional cost.
  3. Guests must be vaccinated with both doses of Covid vaccine.
  4. The organization reserves the rights to modify the trek during any emergencies or natural calamities.
  5. In unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, the trek may get canceled or altered. In such cases, the operator will try to provide with an alternate option. However, a cash refund will not be applicable in this situation. 

Cancellation Policy

  • If cancellation is made 30 days before the date of travel, 25% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees
  • If cancellation is made 15 to 30 days before the date of travel, 50% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees
  • If cancellation is made 0 to 15 days before the date of travel, 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees
  • The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days

In summers, the temperature remains 20 to 25 degrees in daytime and 7 to 15 degrees at night. In winters, the temperature is 5 to 8 degrees in daytime and -2 to 1 degrees at night.
