Laka Glacier Trek (3 Days / 2 Nights)

Laka Glacier is located in the Kangra Valley and is a popular trek due to its short duration and beginner-friendly trail. The trek is of easy to moderate difficulty and offers a perfect blend of adventure and scenic beauty.

Accessible from McLeodganj and Dharamshala, the 13 km trek rewards you with stunning views of snow-covered mountain ranges and a peaceful Himalayan landscape.

Itinerary

Day 1: Bhagsunag to Leta Village (3-hour trek)

• Meeting Point: Manu Adventures India

• Meeting Time: 10:00 AM

• Begin the trek from Bhagsunag, passing through Upper Bhagsunag Village

• Visit the famous Bhagsunag Waterfall

• Walk along scenic forest trails with views of the Kangra Valley

• Reach Leta Campsite and relax

• Optional short hike for panoramic views of the Shivalik Hills

• Visit the nearby Leta Temple

• Dinner and bonfire with soothing music

• Overnight stay at the campsite

Day 2: Leta Camp – Laka Glacier – Leta Camp (4–5 hours trek)

• Early morning wake-up to witness a stunning sunrise over the mountains

• Trek via Karthani Dhar towards Triund Top

• Lunch break at Triund

• Continue the trek to Laka Glacier

• Enjoy time in the snow and ice

• Return to Leta Campsite

• Dinner and bonfire

• Overnight stay at the campsite

Day 3: Leta Camp to Bhagsunag (2-hour trek)

• Breakfast at the campsite

• Trek back to Bhagsunag

• Trip concludes near Bhagsunag Waterfall

• Optional visit to Bhagsunag Temple and the Tibetan Market

• Accommodation in dome tents (twin sharing)

• Meals during the trek: 2 lunches, 2 dinners, and 2 breakfasts (Vegetarian)

• All necessary permits and camping fees

• Professional trek leader (mountaineering qualified), guide, and support staff

• Porters or ponies for personal luggage

• Stay in Dharamshala / McLeodganj (before or after the trek)

• Transportation

• Train or flight tickets

• Any meals not mentioned in inclusions

• Expenses due to weather conditions, landslides, roadblocks, or other factors beyond our control

• Please be ready 15 minutes before your scheduled time to ensure a smooth start.

• Experiences cannot be rescheduled or refunded in case of late arrival due to weather or personal reasons.

• If your experience is on your checkout day, please check out in advance and keep your luggage at the reception.

• Keep a buffer time in your schedule to avoid last-minute rush.

• We request guests to book this trek in advance.

• Participation is at your own risk, especially considering personal health and fitness.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Free cancellation up to 24 hours prior to the experience date.

• No refund for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the experience.

• If the supplier cancels due to weather or operational reasons, a full refund or an alternate date will be offered (as per supplier policy and availability).

• Refunds will be initiated within 24–48 hours and credited within 5–7 working days.

• No refund or rescheduling for no-shows.
