About goSTOPS Palampur
Surrounded by green tea estates and forests of pine and deodar, Palampur sits quietly in the lap of Himalayas with the backdrop of the Nuegal chasm and the Bundla stream. The town gets its name from ‘pulum’ which means abundant water as the region has several streams and water bodies. Situated on the Manali-Pathankot road, it is well connected with other cities and towns in Himachal Pradesh by air, rail and bus services.

By Air
The nearest airport is Kangra Gaggal which is 40 km from goSTOPS Palampur. You may arrive at our hostel from there via taxi which will cost 1800-2000 INR. Alternatively, you may take a local bus to Palampur from right outside the Airport.

Train
Pathankot is the nearest railway station. It is at a distance of 120 km and 4-5 hours away from goSTOPS Palampur. You may take a bus or a private taxi from the Pathankot railway station to reach Palampur.
By Taxi
You may take a cab from Kangra, Dharamshala or Pathankot.
From Kangra: goSTOPS Palampur is 1 hour or 40 km away from Kangra and a cab will cost 1800-2000 INR.
From Dharamshala: If you take a cab from Dharamshala, it will take around 1 hour to reach our hostel. The cab will cost 1800-2000 INR.
From Pathankot: Our hostel is 115 km or 4-5 hours away from Pathankot and a cab will cost 4000-5000 INR.
By Bus
Regular buses ply to and fro Palampur. They operate on a daily basis, day and night, from places like Delhi, Manali, Shimla, Kangra, Chandigarh and Mandi.
Direct buses from Delhi: Palampur is around 500 km or 10-11 hours away by bus from Delhi.
Buses from Pathankot: Jump on any bus coming to Palampur which is 120 km or 4-5 hours away from Pathankot.
Direct bus service from Kangra: Regular buses ply to and fro Palampur from Kangra which is 40 km or 1 hour away.
Buses from Dharamshala: Hop on any bus coming to Palampur which is 35 km or 1 hour away from Dharamshala.
All these buses take you to Palampur bus stand which is around 3-4 km from goSTOPS Palampur. You may take a cab (INR 250-300) or an auto (INR 180) to reach the hostel.
