goGANG is goSTOPS’ fixed-date group trip format: curated trips across India, planned end to end, with departures from Delhi and Bengaluru and groups of 10 to 20 travellers. You pick a destination and a date. The travel, stays, experiences and food are already organised. You travel with everyone else who booked the same departure, so there is no group to assemble before you can go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It used to be called goTRAILS, and more than the name changed. The format now centres on the people you travel with: strangers at departure, your gang by the time you are back. The destination is part of the experience, but the people you experience it with are what make the trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You book a spot on a departure, not a room on a date. Every trip runs on a fixed date with a set itinerary. The planning that normally eats your evenings, transport, stay, what to do, where to eat, is already done before you pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trips start the night before day one. You meet your Trip Captain and the group at the boarding point in Delhi or Bengaluru, usually between 8 pm and 11 pm, and travel overnight by AC bus. A two-day trip therefore takes two nights away from home, and you arrive at the destination in the morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each departure travels as one group of 10 to 20 people. That size is a design choice: the trip stays personal enough to actually meet people, and the itinerary runs the way a planned trip should.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trips currently run in one and two-night formats, built for weekends: leave at the end of the working week, come back before the next one starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
goGANG currently runs nine destinations, six departing from Delhi and three from Bengaluru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n End-to-end planning covers four things: travel from the departure city, the stay, the experiences on the itinerary, and food. On most trips the stay is at a goSTOPS property, which makes the common spaces and the people in them part of the trip rather than just somewhere to sleep. The two trek itineraries differ: Kasol camps at Kheerganga for a night, and McLeodganj camps at Triund. Every trip travels with a trip captain who knows the route. The itineraries mix sightseeing, outdoor activities and local experiences with hosted community time. Artist Nights and bonfires recur across the current line-up, and those are the parts of the trip where people who arrived as strangers get to know each other.
