Here’s how you can reach goSTOPS Bir:
Modes Of Transportation
You can reach Bir by plane, train or by simply taking a road trip and driving up there. Bir is not directly connected to any airport or railway station, however you can reach there by traveling to neighboring airports and railway stations.
By Air
The nearest Airport is Kangra Gaggal/ Dharamshala airport. You may take a direct flight from Chandigarh/Delhi to Dharamshala. goSTOPS Bir is at a distance of ~70 km and it takes ~2.5 hours to reach the hostel from the Dharamshala airport. You may take a private taxi or a bus to reach our hostel. A private taxi will cost around INR 1500-2000. For buses, check out the “from Dharamshala'' section in By Bus.
By
Train
The nearest Railway station to Bir is Pathankot. There are 2 ways to reach Bir by train:

Reach Pathankot by train & take a bus/taxi to Bir and then take a bus or private taxi to Bir. A private taxi costs around INR 1500-2000 for the same.

Reach Pathankot by train & board the Toy train to Ahju for 100 INR. Our hostel is hardly 15 minutes away from Ahju and a private cab usually costs around INR 150.
By Taxi
Private taxi is the fastest way to reach Bir:

Taxi from Pathankot to Bir: 4-5 hours, INR 4000-5000

Taxi from Dharamshala to Bir: 2.5 hours, INR 1800-2000

Taxi from Baijnath to Bir: 20 minutes, INR 350-400
By Bus
Regular bus services ply to and fro Bir. They operate on a daily basis, day and night, from places like Delhi, Shimla and Dharamshala.
Direct buses from Delhi: Bir is around 12-14 hours by Bus from Delhi. The buses take you to Bir road, Baijnath or Sangrai Parking.
Buses from Pathankot: Jump on any bus for Kangra, Dharamshala, Baijnath, Mandi, Manali or Shimla.
From Dharamshala: Bir is around 4-5 hours from Dharamshala. There are only 2 direct buses from Dharamshala to Bir (6am and 2pm). You can take a bus to Baijnath and then travel to Bir if the above timings don’t work out for you.
These buses take you to Bir Road, Baijnath or Sangrai Parking
From Baijnath: One can cover the last leg from Baijnath via bus or taxi. It will take around 20-30 minutes and the taxi will cost around INR 250. One can either take a direct bus from Baijnath to Bir or take any bus heading east towards Jogindernagar, Mandi, Manali or Shimla. Buses go to Bir every 30 minutes.
Buses from Baijnath will either take you to Sangrai Parking or Bir Road

Sangrai Parking to goSTOPS Bir: Sangrai Parking is less than a km from our hostel. Private taxis will cost around INR 100.

Bir road to goSTOPS Bir: Bir road is at a distance of 3 km from our hostel. Private taxis will cost around INR 150.
“Deer Park Institute” is the nearest landmark from our hostel(180mtrs).
